My name is Alexander Owens and welcome to my personal blog.
A little about me, I am a twenty-three-year-old UC Santa Cruz Politics graduate trying to figure what to do with my life. Before UCSC, I studied at De Anza Community College where I received my AAT in Political Science and a Certificate in Leadership and Social Change. I worked at Ace Hardware, interned for Assemblymember Evan Low, and campaigned for political causes.
I enjoy practicing Muay Thai and BJJ in my free time. Martial arts and fitness are a big part of my life. I first started wrestling when I was 10 years old and it has had a big impact on my psychology. Once you have wrestled, everything else in life is easy. That is for sure. I believe that.
Recently I was a part of Peace Corps Zambia 2020 for nine days before I was evacuated due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now I am living at home with my sister in Portland, studying for the LSAT, practicing martial arts, and working at New Seasons Market as a meat clerk. Life has taken a strange turn, to say the least. My biggest goal right now is to do well on the LSAT for law school and return to the Peace Corps. I want to go to a top 25 law school.
In this blog, I will respond to interesting questions, document my adventures, and lay my life bare for your pleasure. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy my blog.
